Advanced Fusion of Dynamic Urban Model, VR, and Projection Mapping
The Association of State of the Art Technologies in Visual Expression was
a main planner of this second Festival Eve. The latest results of the most
advanced expression technology development were presented with the theme
of the fusion of a dynamic urban model, VR by the 3D virtual reality software
UC-win/Road, and projection mapping.
A city party with the image of a future casino where VR and projection
mapping were blended was held, and it was warmed up by tap dancers, singers,
and DJ ONI, who is a music producer working in Japan and abroad.
As the diorama mapping on the city model, projection mapping was casted
on 1/200 scale model as "Future urban architecture models". In
addition, a lot of guests enjoyed a flight attraction game that the challenger
controlled a small drone to rescue evacuees in a virtual city projected
on a large screen.
