~Projection Mapping onto the Shibaura Institute of Technology Toyosu Campus Building~

Students of Shibaura Institute of Techology will be showing off their projection mapping creations in September 10, 2015, as a joint-project between the university and Forum 8  (http://www.forum8.co.jp/english/ ). Forum 8 will serve as the executive producer and director for the project.
This project is a part of the ceremonial performance program of the 20th Annual Conference of the Virtuality Reality Society of Japan, but it also serves as a fruition of efforts between the State of the Art Technologies in Expression Association and The Virtual Reality Society of Japan, who have been providing projection mapping seminars to various schools.
While this project certainly is aimed at appealing to VR researchers over the results of their seminars, it is also open to the public in order to attract more attention and interest over VR techonolgies.
Forum 8, who has served as a long and major sponsor to the Virtual Reality Society of Japan, endorses to the educational vision behind this event and will provide support as a producer and provide technical directing services.

Forum 8 provides the 3D VR Engineering Services to aid in the making of the project, all of which centre around the VR software UC-win/Road. The VR data constructed by UC-win/Road is used to simulate the project digitally as well as exported as a scale model for physical analysis by a 3D printer. Forum 8 also performed other planning analyses to examine possible audience movements, stage layouts, or positioning of promotional materials.
Through these collaboration events, and by hosting 3D Projection Mapping & VR Seminars, Forum 8 aims high in hopes of helping to educate a new generation of talents that are fully prepared for the ultimate diffusion of virtual reality technologies.
