FORUM8 Co., Ltd. (2-15-1 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo. President Yuji Ito. URL: https://www.forum8.co.jp/english/) released "VR Design Studio UC-win/Road Autonomous Driving / ADAS Package" as a new plug-in package specialized in autonomous driving simulation and ADAS. It is a bundle of multiple plug-ins and applications that can be used with "VR Design Studio UC-win/Road", our in-house developed interactive real-time 3D VR simulation software, and can be utilized for research on autonomous driving and ADAS.

By combining digital twin environment built with VR Design Studio UC-win/Road with various types of hardware such as a real vehicle type driving simulator, driving simulations through real-world driving operations becomes possible as the software can reproduce realistic vehicle behaviors thanks to its ability to implement the motion of the entire vehicle in operation and the model of each transmission device from the engine to the wheels. VR Design Studio UC-win/Road is being used for various purposes including vehicle system development; ITS traffic system research; research on interaction among drivers, vehicles, roads, and traffic; and teaching material for safe driving training. The "VR Design Studio UC-win/Road Autonomous Driving / ADAS Package" will further take the field of autonomous driving research and development to another level.

FORUM8 will introduce this new packaged product together with its full lineup of products and solutions under the theme "Japanese VRCG Software that can Realize Digital Twins and Metaverse" at the "Automotive World 2023, Autonomous Driving Technology Expo" to take place at Tokyo Big Sight from January 25th to 27th.

Overview and configuration of Autonomous Driving / ADAS Package

Transmits information about the vehicle in operation to outside and controls the vehicle according to external information.

Detects objects around the vehicle in operation and transmits the information.

Reflects steering angle and accelerator/brake input/output values of the driving vehicle to the device.

Sends images in the format specified by the camera sensor. Supports blur and noise processing.

Mutual conversion of course information with the vehicle motion calculation system.
