FORUM8 booth:
Diverse DS of FORUM8, such as driving simulation
based on a 6k multi-cluster digital signage system that also served
as a trial corner attracted much attention. |
It was UC-win/Road trial simulator that attracted attention most in particular from the visitors in and outside Japan. In addition, the trial corner of the 6K multi-cluster digital signage system was always crowded. Staff of BMIA, a French company that had developed G'Val visited our booth and said that they would like to exhibit the system at ITS World Congress Bordeaux to be held in 2015.
Other than these, use of various simulators was remarkable in the exhibition venue.
Many different exhibitors adopted UC-win/Road driving simulators in this Congress including: ITS trial simulator by Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited (NEXCO CENTRAL), DSSS trial simulator by National Police Agency and UTMS Society of Japan, VICS trial simulator by Vehicle Information and Communication System Center (VICS Center), COOPERATIVE ITS driving simulator by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION, three types of driving simulator that allow the user to try different concepts by AISIN SEIKI Co., Ltd., and simulator for the driver support system by FUJITSU Ltd. Realizing advanced and diverse functions of ITS, many of them were drawing the visitors' interest.
This report is the last installment of the serial story continued since the spring of 2012 over 8 volumes.
