This is a traffic simulation model which S-Paramics SIAS(UK) develops. FORUM8 will start selling this in January, 2013. |
Introduction of S-Paramics function |
S-Paramics calculates the movement of vehicles one by one, and is a micro
simulator which enables to represent the various traffic situation such
as urban areas and highway etc. by which the various traffic problem can
be examined. 1. Setup of traffic regulation A bus lane, speed regulation, travelling direction for every lane can be specified. Hourly fluctuation is also applied. 2. Public traffic The bus operating with a timetable can be reproduced. A stop of the bus at a bus stop and getting on and off of people are reproduced. 3. Definition of vehicles The various types of vehicles can be defined and the movement performance can be set. 4. Driver attribute A driver's attribute can be set up with the parameter of aggression and awareness and it can be reflected in operation actions, such as a lane change. 5. Passing behavior The passing vehavior using the opposite direction can be reproduced. 6. Parking lot The parking lot selection has been modeled with addition of restriction according to the purpose of the travel and vehicle type. 7. Route selection The dynamic route selection based on confusion of the traffic situation has been modeled. 8. 3D display 3D display using a flight model is now possible. 9. ITS The variable display board which announces lane regulation and speed regulation has been modeled. 10. Report function Function to compare the models, to summerize the total of two or more operation results and to analize them. |
Linkage with UC-win/Road |
UC-win/Road and S-Paramics can convert a road network mutually throught S-Paramics Plug-in and it can be used. This allows you to confirm the simulation results in S-Paramics in VR environment of UC-win/Road and confirm the road situation from the point of drivers with driving simulation. <Sample> The 9th 3D VR simulation contest data : The results which "Ourston Roundabout Engineering, Inc.(USA)" was converted into S-PARAMICS data(Figure 3). |
