In this news, we are introducing 3D Physical Modeling service, which is the  latest of our 3D services. We will highlight these services in the next "Up and  Coming" web magazine.

3D Physical Modeling service

We are pleased to offer customers the ability to produce various kinds of 3D physical models produced via a special 3D printer.

For this service, we are using a Z650 printer, the highest spec model from Z Corporation. Zprinter 650 can output full color 3D models using an ink jet method. It can produce physical models with a maximum size of 254mm (w) x 381mm (h) x 203mm (d), the largest within the industry.

Customers can create the larger models by dividing the digital model into smaller units and then connecting them together to comprise the final physical model.

The Z 650 printer can read STL, VRML, PLY, 3DS, ZPR file formats. In addition, customers can use other file formats by utilising 3D modeling tools including 3dsMax.

The model below were produced by the Z650 printer. The highway junction model was made using UC-win/Road and the pier model was produced via non linear analysis based on the UC-win/Road visualization.

About the highway junction model (below), you can see the appearance of the junction with entwined loop roads and details of iron tower and water supply building.

UC-win/FRAME (3D) can output the deformation data in standard 3ds format. The physical model shown was produced by the Z650 printer using the 3ds data. Deformed condition is reproduced as a physical  model.

3D models designed by UC-1 series and also Allplan architectural models can be produced.
