COMPUTEX TAIPEI is a B2B ICT business platform where worldwide IT and manufacturing industry specialists deepen exchanges. This year's theme were AI, IoT, 5G, gaming&VR, etc., and 1600 companies from 30 countries and 40 thousand visitors from 167 countries gathered.

FORUM8 ran a booth at the Gaming&VR pavilion and exhibited a HMD cooperated VR Motion Seat, Air Driving, Train Simulator VR, and MindWave driving simulator. More than 400 people from Southeast Asia and India as well as Japan, China, US, and Korea visited our booth. Especially, a lot of people waited in a line to ride the VR Motion Seat that man could experience the VR Shinagawa Station and surroundings on a roller coaster.

Being tough on the current tools to do a presentation of exterior and interior design, a company wanted to use the UC-win/Road that is equipped with advanced functions and can be used in a variety of purposes. A major engineering service company wanted to request a data creation of the whole airport and a DS for driving training of cars and special vehicles in an airport. We received requests of VR Motion Seat and UC-win/Road DS from other company, and we also gave an advice for a company that wants to introduce the MindWave drive simulator for entertainment and exhibition.

A major IoT facility manufacturer in Taiwan is considering purchasing UC-win/Road because it can reproduce safety driving function based on a car-to-car communications like ADAS and a route guide system equipped on vehicle precisely. Moreover, a company providing medical panels demanded the creation of a high-precise VR demonstration. Through the whole exhibition period, we got a lot of inquiries about operability, multifunctionality, and flexibility of UC-win/Road from a variety of industry fields.

Taiwan has a solid R&D and production technology and is playing a big role in the ICT global supply chain. It is a strategic platform where domestic and overseas companies and investors are seeking partners for ICT/IoT. The Taiwanese Government will continue to invest in resources such as AI, cloud services, and semiconductor.

FORUM8 is providing a lot of system developments including DS in Taiwan. Please keep your eyes on our advancement.
