Experience type entertainment space colored by
real-time image, sound, and lighting
The theme of this year's Design Festival Eve was sports and
technology art as Tokyo Olympics is approaching. Directed by DJ ONI
who works actively in Japan and abroad mainly as a music producer and was
awarded the 2019 Hagura Award, the venue was filled with an
integrated world view including sound, interactive images, lighting,
performances, and artistic food.
On the main stage, ZOOMADANKE, a kendama unit with high artistic
evaluation in the world attracted attentions. In addition, visitors
were fascinated with the tap dance by Lily & Yuki, live performance
by a talented singer Yully, Kado live performance by Kouen Yokoi,
freestyle football by Ball Beat Crew, acrobatic Double Dutch
performance, and other various performances.
UC-win/Road systems were also displayed at the venue. Tecchan
familiar to visitors for "Train Simulator VR" every year excited the
event by giving a live commentary on the bicycle simulator that
riders try to cycle up the steepest slope in Tokyo.
In addition, we exhibited a roller coaster simulation by the
cooperation of HMD and VR Motion Seat, rolling flight over the sea
on VR360 simulator, operation experience of NICHIJO's snow blower
simulator that won the Idea Award in 2019 3D VR Simulation Contest,
Air Driving by Kinect TM sensor, and Train Simulator VR. Visitors
who tried any these systems could draw a digital lottery placed in
front of the seethrough displays.
