General business owner action plans based on the Act of Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace

As the general business owner action plans based on the Act of Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, we set the following goals and measures from April 1, 2017.

1. Plan period

Five years from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2022

2. Content

Goal 1: Raise the average service years of women to five years and over within the plan period

Countermeasure
-April 2017: create time-limited employee system and child rearing support policy
-From FY 2017: after conducting consciousness investigation about gender role, give employees training of legal care for pregnant or child rearing workers

Goal 2: By March 31, 2019, raise the childcare leave acquisition rate beyond the following standard

Male... Two or more employees acquire childcare leave.
Female... More than 80% employees acquire childcare leave.

Countermeasure
From FY 2017: create leaflet about available support system for harmonization of work and family to inform employees and managerial workers.

Continuing measures from the previous fiscal year:

-Training for managerial workers in order to inform that male workers can have childcare leave
-Seminar about returning to work is held once a year for employees taking a childcare leave

 General business owner action plans based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children

We start to implement the following goals and measures from April 1, 2011 as the general business owner action plans based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children in order to enable all employees to fulfill their potentials by arranging the comfortable environment for work staff where they can strike a balance between work and child rearing.

1. Plan period

Five years from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2019

2. Content

Goal1: Raise the childcare leave acquisition rate beyond the following standard within the planning period

Male... Two or more employees acquire childcare leave.
Female... More than 80% employees acquire childcare leave.

Countermeasure
-Training for managerial workers in order to inform that male workers can have childcare leave
-Seminar about returning to work is held once a year for employees taking a childcare leave

Goal 2: By September 2014, introduce short-time work system that employees who have children under the elementary school age can use

Countermeasure
-September 2011: Started investigation of employee demands and review of system details
-From October 2011: Informed via in-house intranet

Goal 3: By September 2016, reduce overtime work of all employees to less than 2400 hours per person per year

Countermeasure
-September 2011: Established a project team to analyze causes of overtime work
-From FY 2011: Biannual training to re-form managerial workers consciousness
