This data is the training VR contents with the purpose of learning basic knowledge of civil engineering, bridge, and painting of highway. This VR data contains the standard structure of civil engineering facilities, work flow of construction, damage mechanism, and measure against ground subsidence. Viewers can see and feel the inner structure and the change under ground that are actually invisible by using 3D projector and HMD as if they exist in real. |
The main animation shows the summary images and explanations of each content. The whole contents can be displayed from the animations and scenarios. Viewers can see the inside of bridge and the changes under ground which are actually invisible. |

"Snow blower simulator"
NICHIJO CORPORATION |
This is a simulator for the operation training of rotary snow blower. Displaying meters on HMD and combining steering, pedals, and buttons and operation levers simulating those on real vehicle reproduces the realistic driving environment and operation image. It computes the vehicle behavior and snow removal according to snow removal situation, and drivers can experience proper operations for each situation. |
The animation of snow blower simulation reproduces the driving operation and snow removing. By playing the scenario, subjects can drive the snow blower (without snow removing depiction) in a variety of situations such as day and night, sunny weather, and snowy weather. |

"DS simulation of speed hump markings at Honmachi dori street"
Kyoto Kogakuin High School |
Many students of the Kyoto Kogakuin High School walks the Hommachi dori street that is 5-minites away from the school on foot every day. However, the street is a bit dangerous since it is the one-way narrow road but has a lot of traffic. In this work, the effect of vehicle speed reduction by speed hump markings is simulated. The students are planning to suggest this road marking to the local residents and have them experience its simulation at a regional emergency drill that will be held in November at the school. |
In the animation "令和元年度スクリプト", viewers can see the image of safety measures for roads to school that the school is working on. The simulation shows the overview and effect of speed hump marking and the scenery after installation. A variety of situations such as the time of commuting and night are reproduced. |

"Vehicle trajectory simulation on Hanshin Expressway"
Hanshin Expressway Company Limited |
This VR data was created as a platform to visualize vehicle trajectory data (Zen Traffic Data) by 0.1 second created by image processing. Combining both data allows users to check actual traffic conditions and vehicle behaviors from various point of views. This data will lead to concrete effective countermeasures against traffic jam and safety. |
By executing the animation "交通状況再現", viewers can see the simulation reproducing the construction of highway and traffic situations. In other animations, actually measured vehicle behaviors such as the cooperative behavior at merging point, inconsiderate lane change, and shock wave phenomenon causing traffic jam at corner. |

"Scenario construction and VR display of 3D environmental design VR software"
National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction (Taiwan) |
Recently, a large earthquake occurred and caused the huge damage in Taiwan. To increase the people's awareness of disaster mitigation, the center created the VR simulation and experience system of earthquake and tsunami. The analysis of flooding and debris flow and the cooperation with devices are planned in the future. This system is also available for the research and reduction of disasters by visualizing the analysis data. |
By executing the animation, viewers can see the background of VR creation, simulation of earthquake and evacuation, image of approaching tsunami, and VR trial event. The data with sound effects allows the realistic experience. |

"Bridge light-up simulation along Meguro River"
KEIKAN SEKKEI TOKYO Co., Ltd. |
This VR data shows the light-up on 2 "bridges" over Meguro River and its "revetment" in the old Tokaido area, taking into account the prosperity in Edo period and its historical characteristics. In the data, the bridge girder including a small arbor is lit up by the reproduction of surrounding environments and light reflection on water surface at twilight. The sceneries illuminated by several lightings and changing by season are depicted in Edo purple and Light green. |
The animation "目黒川沿い橋梁" displays the light-up on the bridge. Viewers can enjoy colorful simulations using the lighting function and reflection on the water surface including several patterns of light-up, view from the ship, and changes according to seasons. |

"VR of BOX construction at Ajyagawa"
FUKUCHIGUMI
Inc. |
This VR data was used for the explanation to local residents about the replacement construction of box culvert. In addition, the company created the scripts explaining the material convey route and guiding the detour route, and the data was highly evaluated by the residents. The buildings around the construction site were depicted by point cloud to shorten the creation period. |
The animation includes simulations of construction procedure, detour route, and carry-in route of heavy machines, which was actually used for the explanation to the residents. This data also reproduces the structure being dismantled gradually. The buildings around the construction site are depicted with point cloud. |

"VR simulation of social infrastructure planning"
Toho Development Co., Ltd. |
Towards the introduction of the first roundabout in Hokkaido, this VR data was used from the planning of intersection construction in Kaminokuni Cho to just before the beginning of actual use of the roundabout. At the planning step, the data was used for the conferences with related organizations, arrangement planning of attached facilities, and confirmation of traffic capacity. The company also created videos for the residents at the construction step. The residents tried the virtual driving in the roundabout with driving simulator at the trial event before starting the operation. |
The animation shows the outline image of roundabout, how to drive through it, views before and after construction, and the trial event. Viewers can drive through the roundabout in the scenario. |

"Driving determination and reaction diagnosis simulator"
Iwakura Hospital |
This drive simulator evaluates the driving response of patients with consciousness disorder. So far, the effect of the executive dysfunction on driving was difficult to be detected. This simulator can display evaluations of reaction speed, recognition function, and ability of determination against hazardous situations in realistic driving conditions. It can be used for supporting rehabilitation. |
By playing the main scenario, subjects can choose from one of two driving scenarios to experience: Relatively easy short driving scenario intended to train subjects' ability to predict dangers on road, and a long highway road to look at the effects long hours of driving may have on subjects, if any. In the animation, the starting screen of driving diagnosis and the image of result screen can be checked. Sceneries of street played during the stand by time can also be checked in the script. |

"Simulator reproducing the feeling of driving in Shinagawa city"
DENSO Corporation |
DENSO Corporation is working on the R&D of advanced driving assist
and autonomous driving at Global R&D Tokyo in Shinagawa.
The technology to understand the driver's state is important in these fields.
The creation of sceneries of Shinagawa in the safe VR space also recreates what the driver feels
in the real Shinagawa city. The data is used for the research and development of the technology
to know human feelings and states. |
The animation displays the VR scenery around Shinagawa station. The scenario "品川ドライブ" allows viewers to drive the roads around Shinagawa station, but it will make the driver irritated easily. The driver has to follow the vehicle in front in the former half of the scenario and has to apply the brake because the traffic lights turn to red right before passing the intersections in the latter half. |

"VR for urban planning in Cijin Island"
National University of Kaohsiung (Taiwan) |
This VR data was created for the city planning.
The university created 3D models for the traffic and disaster mitigation in Cijin
and reproduced the evacuation center for residents and tourists.
The data simulated the flooded area by tsunami and was used for giving advice about disaster mitigation.
It is expected that the related data will be used as a communication platform among gevernments,
consultants, and residents. |
The animation shows the images of city planning, disaster mitigation,
and evacuation. It describes the future image of the city simply including
new buildings and the transportation across the strait. It also shows the image of
flooding and the construction of facilities for disaster reduction and evacuation
with an example of tsunami. |
