The latest version, Ver. 25 has added a 3D parametric tool for easy generation of structures, as well as the higher grade license options - “Civil” and “Ultimate” - that strongly support BIM/CIM, and enhanced functions that greatly support use with external applications. The presentation will include demonstrations of parametric modeling to generate assets for specific applications, texture baking essential for high-quality asset creation, ability to create longitudinal profile of road alignment curves, physical animation, enhanced glTF converter function, and plus many other features. Other features under development and future development roadmap will also be introduced.
The 12th CPWC, where participants compete in cloud app programming using development kits, and the 14th VDWC , where advanced architecture and civil engineering designs are showcased in the cloud, are both underway. Teams have put a lot of creative effort into their work, incorporating VR, cloud technology, and cutting-edge AI techniques. Many projects from both domestic and international participants, primarily from Asia, have been submitted. The final public judging will feature online presentations, where the results will be announced."

At the "FORUM8 CIC Research Lab" in Toranomon Hills, Tokyo, FORUM8 engineers are exploring the possibilities of future technologies for Web3 and the Metaverse. In addition to use cases that utilize the system of creating original rally cars using 3D models and NFT, which will be implemented in FORUM8 Rally Japan 2024, and practical applications and solutions using F8NFTS (FORUM8 NFT Service), investigation on the development approaches that integrate existing data exchange processes with Web3 technologies for further advancement will also be shared.
The International VR Symposium brings together members of "World16," a group of international researchers from fields such as architecture, civil engineering, and urban planning, to present and discuss proposals for the use of VR. The summer workshop, which started in Phoenix, USA (2008), held its first domestic event in Hakone, Japan (2009), and has since traveled to various countries each year. Recent editions were held in Paris, France (2019) and Groningen, Netherlands (2023), with the 2024 event taking place in Boston, USA. This symposium will feature presentations on research, development, and the application of results to our company's package products, with the session hosted by Dr. Yoshihiro Kobayashi from Arizona State University.
The "Junior Software Seminar," held during winter, spring, and summer breaks for elementary and junior high school students, connects the Tokyo headquarters with nine seminar rooms across Japan via video conference. This event will showcase and award VR works created by the students during the seminar.
