FORUM8 has provided the software and technology services which support the designing of civil engineering and construction including structure design since the company foundation, on the basis of the development technology of packaged software. With the development of virtual reality technology in recent years, FORUM8’s products and solutions are now being used extensively for a wide range of projects, for traffic and automotive research, and for information system in general. In addition, FORUM8 is energetically promoting a sustainable society and the age of DX through providing software and services on cloud.

Foundation of our growth is the development of creative general-purpose software. So far, we have developed and improved the virtual reality software UC-win/Road and the dynamic non-linear analysis software UC-win/FRAME (3D) as the advanced software ahead of other companies. In 2009, we released Engineer's Studio®. As for the cloud development, we started to provide SaaS programs in 2013 and has expanded UC-1 Cloud program series. In 2020, we released F8VPS, a Web VR Platform.

On the other hand, as for the activities to improve the in-house system and to strengthen the organization, many international standards have been introduced such as Quality Management System (QMS), Information Security Management System (ISMS), Business continuity management system (BCMS), and PrivacyMark certification. In 2016, we acquired Environmental Management System (EMS) and are working on the promotion of sustainable society and on SDGs activities by spreading cloud services and improving the business quality.

As for the cloud service, UC-1 for SaaS has been released in 2013 ahead of other companies in the industry. 3DVR Cloud "VR-Cloud®" has been chosen as the cloud contract research from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and we have acquired a lot of patents thanks to it. After great products such as FEMLEEG and Shade3D were added to FORUM8 product portfolio through M&A. We are also expanding the development of 3D and VRCG, growing them into a suite of software that supports the construction of digital twins and metaverse. With the release of F8VPS, we also provide a virtual platform, bringing our line-up of virtual environment construction solutions to the market. FORUM8 has also been selected for Next-Generation Software Platform Demonstration Project by the METI.

In 2021, FORUM8 has built and delivered "Large 4K VR Stereoscopic Driving Simulator" and "VR NILIM System" for the National Institute for Land and Infrastructure. In 2019, we released Suite Series Accounting software, Data Eraser Suite®, and Suite Chidori Engine®. We also launched our first own-brand PC, the Game Programming PC.

Self-developed core system supports the development and sales, and we were selected as "Top 100 Aggressive IT SME of Japan Award" by METI in 2015. We also have received "CRM Best Practice Award" and other company awards. In December 2019, FORUM8 is awarded The 8th Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Awards METI Minister's Award for Connection acceleration among various technologies and industries by UC-win/Road open data cooperation. We also made significant progress in changing the way of we work as we were certified as an "Eruboshi" company that promotes women's participation and advancement in the workplace and also received "Kurumin" certification.

Our product support and service have had a high evaluation, and many customers have attended our technical seminars. FORUM8 released the 144th issue of our public relations magazine Up&Coming. At the "17th FORUM8 Design Festival 3Days+Eve" in November 2023, 6 experts from 5 government ministries delivered lectures in front of a large audience at the 8th "Autonomous Driving Conference". The Special Talk Session between Mr. Yoichi Ochiai and Prof. Hiroshi Ishii held on Day 2 was very well-received. Flood simulation project by Tamana City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan won the Grand Prix of the 10th National Resilience Design Award Content. We appreciate having welcomed a large number of participants both at the venue and online.

FORUM8 also focuses on publishing technical books and other publications, such as the TV program the company made for the 30th anniversary of its establishment in May 2017 and the book "VR Impact - Amazing world of virtual reality that you must know -" (DIAMOND, Inc.). In recent years, FORUM8 became an official title partner for FIA WRC, and the company has also promoted itself as a company that supports women's soccer and golf, and has produced a number of TV commercials.
